When I want to recycle, I need to think if it goes to the left or right, depending on the office area (considering I go to the nearest trash). Which kind of cognitive load is this? 2/6

Suddenly, you increase the cognitive load of people based on a small design decision on how you place the trashes. That's not the kind of cognitive load you want! It doesn't add any value! TLDR; You want germane. itrevolution.com/cognitive-load/ 3/6

In our day-to-day, we need to make a lot of decisions, some of which are because of how we design our software, collaboration, architecture, and collaboration leads to those small increases of non-germane cognitive load that, when you add them, it's a lot! 5/6
